Richard "Dick" Hansmann

Richard Dick Hansmann, 76 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away July 14, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 21 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 8:30-10:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls. A parish prayer will be said at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Richard was born April 10, 1941 in Hillman, MN to Richard and Bernice (Witucki) Hansmann. He was united in marriage to Janet Colombe on June 15, 1963 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls. The couple made their home in Little Falls. Richard worked at the Hennepin Paper Mill for 32 years. Richard enjoyed being in The Shop, tractors, old cars, car shows, swap meets, auctions and going out for breakfast. Richard was a charter member of the Lone Eagle Auto Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He will be remembered for always being helpful and helping others with their projects. Richard was very generous with his time and treasured his time spent with his family and friends.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Janet Hansmann of Little Falls; sons, Gary (Michelle) Hansmann of Arizona, Glen (Pattie) Hansmann of Farmington, MN, James Hansmann of Arizona; daughter, Cheri (Steve) Boser of Pierz, MN; brothers, Alvin (Bernadette) Hansmann of Little Falls, Harvey (Arlene) Hansmann of Little Falls, Ray (Mary) Hansmann of Big Lake, Wayne (Karen) Hansmann of Little Falls; sister, Arlene (Tom) Gergen of Lakeville; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and two special young friends, Kent Ginter and Mark Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bernice Hansmann and an infant brother.
