Funeral serivce will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Susanna "Sue" M. (Danielson) Thilquist was born December 13, 1917 in Cologne, Craver County, MN to the late Algot and Nora (Sandholm) Danielson. As a young girl, Sue grew up in Carver County, MN. She attended and graduated from Cokato High School with the Class of 1935. She then attended business school in Minneapolis. During this time she also worked for Dr. Hacel Keyes at his home as a housekeeper. She later moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for two years at the Department of Agriculture as a secretary. Susanna then met and was united in marriage to Burton P. Thilquist on October 18, 1941 in Minneapolis. Following their marriage, Sue and Burt moved and lived in North Carolina while Burt was in the service. Burt was transferred overseas so Sue returned to Minneapolis. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service, Dayton's, and for Papec Machine Company in Hopkins for 15 years. During this time Sue & Burt resided in Hopkins and in 1970, moved to Waverly, MN where they purchased a 40 acre hobby farm. Sue also worked for the Winsted Journal. In 1987, they moved to Randall, MN where she resided until her death. Sue was a longtime member of the Vastergotland Society, attended Randall Presbyterian Church, was strong Democrat and was a member of the League of Women Voters. She loved her Swedish genealogy, music, was an accomplished seamstress, people delighted in her cooking & baking, she loved her home on Fish Trap Lake, but most of all, she loved her family. Susanna "Sue" is survived by her husband, Burton; daughters & sons, Lucille Thomas & husband, Yosiya Niyo, of Ames, IA, Nancy Keeton & husband, Robert "Bob" of Cushing, MN and Dan Thilquist & wife, Sharon, of Randall, MN; sister, Eleanor Boyer of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Tempori Kerber, Scott Thomas, Michelle Wilwerding, Amanda Thilquist, Eric Thilquist & Ryan Thilquist and two great-grandchildren, Asha & Ashley Sukhu. She was preceded in death by her parents.
