Tom Dukowitz was born February 2, 1953 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to the late Bernard and Hildegard (Zwack) Dukowitz. He grew up in St. Cloud with his siblings, Bernard Jr, Patricia, Lawrence, Judy, Jane, Jim, Rick, Bob and Susan. Can you imagine. 10 kids and 6 of them boys. Tom attended and graduated from St. Cloud Apollo High School. After, graduation he attended St. Cloud Vocational School, where he received a diploma in Sales Management. Tom managed the local Snyder Drug Store in St. Cloud for 38 years. He took pride in his work and it showed. Tom and his team were awarded the "Million Dollar Sales" team accomplishment for 2 years. He also designed and donated to St. Cloud Tech and Apollo High School afgans that were sold for various school fundraisers. He was united in marriage to Melodie Morrow in 1973. Melodie passed away in 2010. Tom was then united in marriage to Lynn (Dombovy) Donek in 2013. The couple made their home near Harding. Tom was the type of guy that never did anything in a small way! He was a firm believer during the Christmas season that more trees meant more gifts. He would start his Christmas gift wrapping in October each year in order to be ready. Tom was exceedingly kind, generous to a fault and always tried to make everyone feel welcome and important. He had a remarkably offbeat sense of humor. Many will testify being the target of some very well thought out tricks. He taught nieces, nephews and neighbor kids many of those tricks. Mostly stuff they would get in trouble for later. Throughout his life, Tom enjoyed antiquing, going to auctions, tending to his flower gardens, doing yard work and photography. He ran an antique and collectible business until his death. Tom also owned and operated rental properties in the local St Cloud area including the 25th Avenue property which had originally belonged to his parents. Tom enjoyed traveling and reaching all 50 states. A highlight of his travels was attending the European Christmas Markets eight times! Tom was an avid collector. His greatest collection was of Monopoly games and memorabilia. He was instrumental in developing a St. Cloud Opoly Board which was distributed around the area. He was a super Minnesota Twins fan, attending up to 12 home games per year and attending a game each year at a different ball park. Tom also had developed an impressive Major League Baseball collection as well along with political memorabilia and coins. He was also known to collect a few pennies as well. He was the reason you can't get pennies any longer from your bank.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynn Dukowitz; Brothers: Bernard, Jr, "Skip" (Gloria) Dukowitz of Belleville, IL, Lawrence (Annette) Dukowitz of St. Cloud, Jim Dukowitz of Montevideo, Rick (Mary Kay) Dukowitz of St. Cloud and Bob (Connie) Dukowitz of St. Augusta; Sisters: Patricia Maus of Maple Lake, Judy (Mike) Lutgen of Cold Spring, Jane Nieters of Sartell.
