Thomas J. Otremba, 59 year old resident of Otsego, MN, formerly of Pierz, MN passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Dare's Funeral Home in Elk River, MN, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 16th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz. Thomas J. Otremba was born on January 20, 1948 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Albert W. & Verena O. (Block) Otremba. Thomas was employed at Options in Big Lake, MN, since September 7, 1987. Survivors include his mother, Verena (Block) Otremba of Pierz, MN; sisters, Paulette Koshenina of New London, MN, Sandra Poster of Pierz, MN and Brenda (Don) Bauer of Lindstrom, MN; many nieces and nephews; foster mother, Sandra Burnelle and her daughter, Melissa; special friend Kenny Berg; P.C.A., Frankie Jo O'Leary and many friends and extended family. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Albert Otremba (Dec. 15, 2004); sister, Frances Jane Otremba; grandparents, August & Frances Otremba and Herman & Angeline Block; brother-in-law, Richard Koshenina and nephews, Scot & David Koshenina; foster father, Walter Burnelle and foster brother, Roger Ek.
