Travis Scherping

Travis Scherping 22 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Saturday, June 18 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.



A visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 and from 9:00-10:00 a.m.on Wednesday allatEmblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. A parish prayer will be said at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Travis James Scherping was born August 27, 1993 in Saint Cloud, Minnesota to James and Joy (Maske-Kuehn) Scherping. Travis grew up in Little Falls. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout as a young boy. He even won the pinewood derby races one year. He attended and graduated from Little Falls Community High School on May 29, 2011. He worked the following various jobs after high school: building grain bins in South Dakota, working as an Arborist and most recently as a boat detailer at Larson Boats in Little Falls, MN. Travis was passionate about fishing and hunting. He enjoyed drawing, playing horseshoes hanging out with his six sisters and visiting with family.

Travis is survived by his father, James (Bobbie) Scherping of Randall, MN; mother, Joy (Lance Chisholm) Scherping of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Erin Kuehn of Sauk Rapids, MN, Brittany (John Vallez) Kuehn of Duluth, MN, Samantha Scherping of St. Cloud, MN, MN, Jenny Scherping of Little Falls, MN, Kayla Pillen of Little Falls, MN and Ashley Piekarski of Randall, MN; grandparents, Bonita Maske of Rice, Lambert and Gloria Scherping of Little Falls, MN; aunts and uncles, Lee (Wendy) Maske of Superior, WI, Jill (Darrell) Zimmerman of Rice, MN, Ken (Regina) Scherping of Prior Lake, MN, Bob (Beth) Scherping of Rice, MN, god-daughter, Ellie Scherping; god-parents, Jake (Sherry) Scherping of Little Falls, MN, Steve (Pam) Scherping of Randall, MN, Dave Scherping of Little Falls, MN; nephew, Brody Meyer of Little Falls, MN, god-son Isaac Little IkeSchwanke of Wadena, MN many cousins, friends and his beloved cat, Sid.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Maske; uncle, Thomas Maske; great-grandparents, Zirbel, Maske, Scherping and Laumeyer.
