Marian Kasella

Marian E. Kasella, age 85 of Royalton, MN passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton with the Rev. Laurn Virnig, Rev. Kenneth Popp & Rev. Salverius Schmidt con-celebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 A.M at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton. Christian Mothers Rosary will be held at 4:30 P.M. Monday afternoon at the funeral chapel followed by parish prayers at 6:30 P.M. Marian E. (Popp) Kasella was born November 13, 1921 in Langola Township, Benton County, MN to the late Leo & Rose (Gottwalt) Popp. She grew up in the rural Rice, MN area where she attended country school. Marian was united in marriage to Anton (Tony) Kasella on June 22, 1943 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, MN. Following their marriage, Marian and Tony farmed near Royalton until 1973. She also worked at Crestliner in Little Falls and at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls as a Home Health Aide. She enjoyed gardening, sewing & baking. Marian was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, Christian Mothers and the St. Mary Mission Group. Marian is survived by sons & daughters, Gerald Kasella & wife, Shirley, of Silver Lake, MN, Michael Kasella & wife, Lori, of Little Falls, MN, Sharon Gleisner & husband, Myron, of Royalton, MN, Sheila Henry & husband, Patrick, of Little Falls, MN, Carrie Modrynski & husband, Steve, of Royalton, MN, Mary Carol Twining & husband, Todd, of Anderson, CA; daughter-in-law, Barb Kasella of Granville, IL; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters, Robert Popp, Ernest Popp & Roslyn Huver all of Rice, MN, Leona Kasella of Royalton, Sr. LeRose Popp, OSF of Little Falls, MN, Elmer Popp of Holdingford, MN, Joanne Zistl of St. Stephen, MN, Harold Popp of Orange City, FL and Johnelle Novak of Foley, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton (Tony); parents and a son, Ronald Kasella; brothers, Wilfred, Marvin, Arthur, Roman, & Leo Popp, Jr. and sisters, Correen Garner & Rita Kloss. Casketbearers will be Marian's grandchildren.
