Leonard Rakow

Leonard (Sonny) Rakow Jr., age 51 of Little Falls, MN. Passed away March 16 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 19 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Sunday, March 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Christian Mothers Rosary 4:30 PM and Parish Prayers 5:30 PM. Leonard was born July 30, 1955 in Little Falls, MN to Lucille (Houle) and the late Leonard Rakow Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Little Falls. Leonard was a member of St. Mary's Church. He graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1975. He enjoyed delivering the Minneapolis Star and Tribune and the Morrison County Record. Leonard also did snow shoveling and lawn care. Leonard's passion was socializing and having coffee with many Little Falls residents. He also enjoyed working on bicycles, computers and radios. He loved to play cards, board games, and puzzles with his nephews and nieces. Leonard was a very kind and friendly person. He loved to joke and tell many stories. He is survived by his mother, Lucille (Houle) Rakow of Little Falls, MN; brothers, Jim Rakow and wife, Betty, of Little Falls, MN, Richard Rakow and wife, Joann, of Sartell, MN, Mark Rakow and wife, Jo, of Little Falls, MN, Michael Rakow and wife, Marie, of Little Falls, MN, David Rakow and wife, Sharon, of Little Falls, MN, Brian Hlad of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Carol Rakow of Sartell, MN, Paulette Boone and husband, Don, of Little Falls, MN, Kathy Janey and husband, Pat, of Little Falls, MN, Renee Maslowski and husband, Dan, of Little Falls, MN. 32 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Rakow Sr., grandparents, William and Mary Louise Rakow, Adelor and Marie Houle; nephew Jordan Boone. several aunts and uncles. Casketbears will be Greg Doucette, Sarah Hill, Tina Braflat, Adam Boone, Douglas Rakow, Andy Rakow, Aaron Rakow, Jeremy Maslowski. Honorary Casketberaers will be: nieces and nephews.
