Richard Stich

Richard "Dick" Stich, 62 of Pierz, MN passed away on April 30, 2007 at Hennepin County Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, with Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 a" 8:00 p.m. Rosary will be said at 4:30 P.M., Parish Prayers at 7:00 P.M. and Knights of Columbus at 8:00 P.M. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9:00 a" 10:00 a.m. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Richard was born in Collegeville, Minnesota on October 13, 1944 to the late Claude and Helen (Pueringer) Stich. In 1947 his parents bought a farmstead in Pierz. On July 2, 1966 he was united in marriage to Judith Chase. Two years after they were married they took over his parent's farm. While running the farm he started Dick's Equipment & Refinishing a repair and body shop. For the past 25 years he sold seed corn with Northrup King and Legend Seed. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed farming, hunting, loved listening and playing old tyme music. His grand kids were his pride and joy of his life. Richard is survived by his wife, Judy Stich of Pierz, MN; sons, David (Patty) Stich of Royalton, MN, Dan (Kate) Stich of Pierz, MN, Doug (special friend, Krystal) Stich of Pierz, MN, Dennis (Stacey) Stich of Royalton; daughter, Diana (Derek) Meyer of Belle Plaine, MN; grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Ashley, Kayla, Troy, Samantha & Rachel; brothers, Martin (Lenora) Stich of Leavensworth, KS, Herbert (Lois) Stich of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Marcella (Aloysius) Schlichting of Blaine, MN and Mildred Goodall of Williston, North Dakota. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. Casket Bearers will be David Stich, Dan Stich, Doug Stich, Dennis Stich, Mark Schlichting and Tom Schlichting.
