John Allen Murphy

John Murphy, 39 year old resident of Harding, MN died Friday, June 1 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5 at 6:00 PM at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Brenny officiating. Friends of John may call from 3-7 PM on Tuesday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN. Interment will be private. John was born March 21, 1968 to George and Doris Murphy. He attended Pierz High School and graduated in 1986. John attended Willmar Technical College for two years and received a degree in Agriculture Management. He returned to the Pierz area where he farmed and drove semi for a number of years. He also owned and operated John's Lawn Service. He was a member of Pheasants Forever. John enjoyed hunting, operating heavy equipment, gardening, cooking, baking and raising animals especially cats. John is survived by his siblings, Kevin Murphy of Harding, MN, Pat Murphy and wife, Cyndi of Cold Spring, MN, Marge Murphy of Savage, MN, David Murphy and wife, Michelle of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Ruthann Ray and husband, Scott of Pillager,MN, nine nieces and nephews and pet cat tigger. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris (Bernatovich) Murphy. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
