Doris Voskuilen

Doris M. Voskuilen, age 84 of Little Falls, MN and formerly of Pierz, MN and St. Paul, MN passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Doris Mae Voskuilen was born September 18, 1922 in Biwabik, St. Louis County, MN to the late Adolph & Mary Elizabeth Ballavance. She grew up in Biwabik where she attended school through the 11th grade. Following her schooling, Doris moved to Seattle, WA and work for Boeing Aircraft. She returned to St. Paul, MN where she met and married Walter Voskuilen. Doris worked various jobs but for many years for Control Data Corporation in the company's manufacturing assembly of computers. She retired in 1987. The couple later moved to Little Falls. Following Walter's death, Doris continued to live in Little Falls and then in Pierz, MN. She became a resident of St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls in June of 2007 residing there until her death. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, plants, puzzles and collecting lighthouses. Doris is survived by her daughter & son, Sandra L. Christianson & husband, Bob, of Randall, MN, Gary N. Voskuilen & wife, Jackie, of Milton, WI; grandchildren, Jennifer Andres, Michael Christianson, Shaun & Jane Voskuilen; great-grandchildren, Cory, Anthony, Aaron, Jesse, Jason & Nicole Andres and Zachary & Nicholas Christianson. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Walter H. Voskuilen and a great-grandchild, Taylor Andres; five brothers and one sister.
