I was born December 12, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Walter A. and Helen (Moehle) Neuman. At the age 2 my family moved to Little Falls, Minnesota and we lived down in the area by the Mississippi River known as "The Flats." My father passed away when I was 8, and my mother moved back to Minneapolis, MN so she could find work. My younger sister, Joyce, and I went to live with our grandmother, "Grandma Moehle" in the area of Northeast Little Falls known affectionately as "Frog Town." I graduated from Little Falls High School in 1940, attended one year at St. Cloud Business College and then worked for Selective Service at the Little Falls draft board office for 4 until the war ended in 1945. I opened up the Sears Order Office as manager in October 1945. Bernard Trib and I were married on May 22, 1948 and lived down by the Mississippi River Dam area. In June of 1952 we moved to Bell, California and I transferred to the Sears Mail Order Department in Los Angeles as Division Head. We lived Bell, California for 45 years. Bernard and I attained our private pilot's license in 1954 after purchasing a Stinson 150. We flew to many places in California and made one trip to South St. Paul, Minnesota. While in California, I was active in the St. Rose of Lima Women's Club, VFW, Elks Club, American Business Women's Association and the St. Gabriel's Hospital. My daughter Judy was born November 2, 1957. Bernard and I owned Trib's Income Tax Service from 1952 until his death in 1996. I sold the business soon after and moved back to Little Falls where I lived down by the Mississippi River Dam area ("The Flats") I became actively involved as a volunteer with the Little Falls Senior Center where I helped with the Pancake Breakfasts, Doughnuts, and other fundraising events. I served as Activity Chairperson and as Treasure on the Board of Directors until my illness no longer allowed me to continue. I was also a member of the Mississippi Go-Getters (a homemakers club). I was president of the Morrison County Council on Aging until the present time. I received the Outstanding Volunteer Award for the year 2006 by the Lutheran Social Services which involves 9 sites. She is survived by her daughter, Judi Tribb, granddaughter, Kathryn Van Heel and husband, Matt; great-granddaughter, Victoria Lee Van Heel; Sister, Joyce Karbo and husband, Ed and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard Trib. Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny East Chapel Little Falls, MN. 1-320-632-4393.
