Gerald Jerry Hendrickson, age 80, of Grey Eagle, MN, formerly of Little Falls, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Jean Megorden officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service and at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Grey Eagle, MN.

Gerald Jerry Arthur Hendrickson was born on June 3, 1932 at home rural Grey Eagle. He was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls on March 29 1959. Gerald served in the United States Army from March 13, 1953 until his honorable discharge on March 14, 1955. While in the Army, he served in the 499th Engineer Battalion building roads while stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) and the Good Conduct Medal. Gerald was united in marriage to Elna Larsen on October 11, 1958 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Ringsted, IA. The couple lived two miles West of Little Falls until their retirement in 1995 when they moved to Jerrys parents homestead on Bass Lake near Grey Eagle. Jerry was employed as a mover at Cliff Buck Furniture Store from 1958-1963. Since the L.P. Gas Service Company was in the same building, he began working for them repairing furnaces and servicing L.P. tanks from 1963-1995. Gerald enjoyed crappie fishing, knowing all the local lakes by heart. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and attending the stock car races in Sauk Centre. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls and the Little Falls American Legion Post #46.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elna of Grey Eagle, MN; children, Lynn (Brian) Evans of Champlin, MN, Terri (Bill) Dinesen of Granite Falls, MN, and Tom (Yvonne) Hendrickson of Wyoming, MN; Sister Judy (Roger) Rauch of Pierz, MN, and 10 grandchildren, Jesse, Chelsea, Matt, Ryan, Michelle, Stephanie, Nicole, Sam, Eric and Dana.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Martha Hendrickson; brother, Ronald Hendrickson; and nephew, Danny Meyer who always admired Gerald and Elnas close relationship.
